- Other Wildlife: The sanctuary is also home to red deer (cerbi) and fallow deer (lopătari), making it a mini-safari of Romanian wildlife.
- The "Urlătoarea" Waterfall (see more): Just a short drive or walk away, you’ll find a unique waterfall that doesn't fall from a height, but rather "screams" out from several springs in a limestone wall.

Traveler’s FAQ: Vama Buzăului1. How do I get to Valea Zimbrilor? It is located about 45 km from Brașov (see more). The drive takes about an hour through some very scenic mountain roads.
2. Is there an entrance fee? Yes, there is a small fee (usually around 10-20 RON [2-4 EURs]) which goes directly towards the care of the animals and the maintenance of the park.
3. What is the best time to visit? Early morning or late afternoon (during the Golden Hour) is best for photography and for seeing the bison when they are most active and feeding.
4. Can I combine this with other sights? Absolutely! Most people visit the Urlătoarea Waterfall on the same day. It's only a few minutes away from the bison enclosure.
