About this website, Forum Rules, and about me, Laurentiu, his caring administrator.

Hello World,

Over time, I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with people from all over the world. I was often surprised to find that many knew very little about Romania—nothing of our majestic mountains and their enchanting beauty, our Black Sea resorts, our mighty rivers, beautiful nature places or our world-unique caves. That is why I decided to create this website: to showcase the wonders of my country to the entire world. I am proud of Romania; it is a land of breathtaking landscapes that truly delight the soul. It would have been a shame not to share its beauty within the vastness of the internet. I do this out of passion, hoping that someone, somewhere, will discover these stunning images and find joy in the stories they tell.

Website Mission: To showcase Romania’s natural and cultural beauty to a global audience through engaging storytelling. We go beyond technical data and dry statistics by weaving together local legends, fascinating "fun facts," and recent updates. Our goal is to satisfy the visitor's curiosity and thirst for knowledge in a way that is both informative and captivating, making every discovery a memorable journey (^.^).

Vision: A free, non‑commercial digital encyclopedia accessible to everyone.

Reliability and Sources: Our content is built on a foundation of authentic local knowledge and verified official data. As Romanians who know and love our country, we ensure that every story and description reflects the reality on the ground. To provide our readers with complete and accurate information, we supplement our personal expertise with:
  • Official News Outlets: Recent updates and social context from reputable sources like ProTV.
  • Local Heritage: Legends and historical facts gathered from local communities to preserve the "living memory" of each place.
You can explore Romania with confidence: our commitment is to provide a source of information that is as reliable as it is captivating.

The Visual Experience:
  • The images on this site capture the magical atmosphere of my country, but I have made sure to include at least one video (youtube embed in many cases) in every single post so you can see how these places look in real life. You will see—they are just as breathtaking!
  • The images are for illustrative purposes; in some cases, certain photos may be processed or corrected using AI (E.G. clarity or image size). I ensure that this does not distort reality. P.S. Even in the past, images were processed with tools like Photoshop—which is also a form of AI, just with a bit more human involvement.

Beyond our landscapes, we celebrate the minds that shaped the world. In "The Icons of Romania" category, you will discover not only our culture and leaders but also the great Romanian geniuses and inventors—from the pioneer of aviation Henri Coandă and the inventor of the fountain pen Petrache Poenaru, to the discoverer of insulin.

Why did I choose a phpBB forum structure for this site?
1. Ease of interaction: It makes it easy for anyone curious about Romania or those who have already visited to add comments, questions, replies, feedback, or images. Forums are perfect for this type of engagement. To prevent spam bots, users are required to create an account and log in to use posting features.

2. Ease of navigation: As you will notice, I have created 9 categories for the website: Mountains , Waters, Caves, Other Beautiful Places (e.g., castles, monasteries, cities, villages, etc.) , Wildlife (animals of Romania) , Flora (plants of Romania) , Icons (famous Romanian personalities) , traditional Romanian food, and a section for free discussion called The Village Square. These categories include not only well-known landmarks but also lesser-known and unexplored locations. This site will showcase Romania as it truly is, beyond just the famous tourist spots.

This is not a travel agency (we don't sell anything). This is a collection of whispers from the Romanian earth. I built this site out of love for the wild, for the legends that refuse to die, and for the stone cathedrals that took millions of years to build.

And now, a little bit about me...
My name is Laurentiu Dima, I am 35 years old, and I was born and raised in Cuib village, Prahova County, Romania. I am deeply passionate about magical places that evoke emotion and tell a story. I love helping people and making new friends wherever I go.

If you need any assistance with this website or have questions about Romania, I am here for you. Whether you need help planning your trip or any other advice I can offer, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at: Laurentiu@beautiful-romania.com.

To you, my dear visitor, I want to say thank you. Thank you for stopping by and for being curious enough to explore the beauty of Romania through my eyes, even from behind a screen.
